MM-014, known colloquially as the “Stalking Warpanthi,” are a subspecies of mimics, taking the form of six-legged panthers coated in slick black fur. They cannot shapeshift like most mimics, due to extreme genome modification causing them to maintain too solid a form.

The long antennae on their heads allow them to detect slight vibrations and sounds from distances of up to 30 meters away. Their tails end in a large spike of bone-like material. Using their antennae to pinpoint its location, they use the spike on their tails to pierce the heart of their prey.

MM-014 are solitary hunters, using stealth to kill their prey quietly, and are very territorial. Research has found that they behave similarly to housecats when treated properly, and can be trained to be docile.

MM-014 have been selected for HT-124 telekinetic distortion testing, due to their docile nature and potential to accompany personnel in dangerous expeditions. Further information will be added at a later date.

As of the success of HT-124, MM-014 are extremely dangerous, exhibiting reality warping abilities which they use to instantly move from one place to another, allowing them to evade detection and suddenly appear behind prey, at which point they skewer the prey’s heart, killing it instantly.

Site 12, where MM-014 currently reside, has been severed from all teleportation links, and all access to its location is henceforth forbidden. Drones sent to investigate cannot be recovered, as any attempt to exit the engineering department instead loops back on itself. Footage suggests that the MM-014 have taken the area as their territory, and are using their abilities to keep any potential prey from exiting.

Extermination Crew Procedures

MM-014 prove very difficult to track down and kill, though they lack much natural defense, due to their ability to vanish completely upon detection. It is recommended to listen closely when visiting Site 12, as their claws make a distinct scraping sound as they move.

If an MM-014 is not perceived as it stalks its prey, it will instantly kill it with a spike through the heart. Due to this fact, keeping a close eye on your and your allies’ backs is recommended.

To kill an MM-014, one must first disable its reality warping capabilities. The engineering department of site 12 contains several prototype HT-127 Jammers, which will prevent them from warping away in a short radius while active. They will only remain active for a few seconds before overheating and having to cool off, however.

Upon being seen without being able to warp away, an MM-014 will give up on its stealth and frantically lunge at its prey with its claws, at which point it can be shot and killed.
